NAIC MBA Fellowship 2025-2026
Position Title: NAIC MBA Fellow [Second-Year]
Duration: September 20 – June 30; 10-15 hours per week
Location: US Based Remote

About the Position:
The MBA Fellowship Program is a 10-month compensated Fellowship for ethnically diverse second-year MBA students who are focusing in Finance and plan to pursue a career in the alternative investment sector. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with various departments within our organization and gain valuable experience in alternative investments, complete special projects with sponsoring NAIC member firms, and receive C-suite career mentoring and networking introductions.
Responsibilities:
MBA Fellows will have the opportunity to work closely with NAIC team members and gain hands-on experience in various aspects of our organization. Fellow duties will primarily include:
Research and Data
- Gather and synthesize research and data to support the program planning of partner and member meetings, Institutional Investor Roadshows, and NAIC ongoing calendar of events
- Assist in managing a partner/sponsor portfolio company database
- Run IntelligentNAIC reports and update data on NAIC member firms using Pitchbook
- Update the Monthly Member Report (and add new firms)
- Utilize Pitchbook to gather necessary data for the quarterly MINT Report publication
- Pull member impact data for use in marketing and communications material
- Provide member firm reporting on ad hoc basis when requested by team members
Project Management and Logistics
- Coordinate and manage project and program timelines, tasks, deliverables, and logistics for:
- NAIC Amplify Alts Forum
- Amazon Web Services Investor Connection
- Amazon Web Services Happy Hour
- Akin Bootcamp
- NAIC Insights Series
- Women in Alternatives (UP Fellowship, and Beyond Training)
- Other projects as assigned
Marketing
- Assist in maintaining and updating Sharpspring (organization CRM) contacts for partners and sponsors
- Assist in developing marketing timelines for various programs and events
General Duties
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to enhance processes or projects
- Support day-to-day operations by completing administrative tasks as needed
- Provide on-site staffing support at events, including coordinating logistics, assisting with setup and teardown, and ensuring smooth execution of activities
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met
- Other duties and projects as assigned by NAIC and sponsoring firms
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an MBA program with second-year status, August 2025
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Prior experience in alternative investments is a plus
- Prior experience with project management software is a plus
- Availability to work full-time from June to August
Compensation
$3,000 USD per month for a total fellowship stipend of $30,000 over 10 months
